We are a Private Pay, out-of-network provider
Traditional insurance models do not adequately allow the extensive amount of time, detail, and flexibility it often takes to complete a comprehensive psychiatric or functional diagnostic assessment and discuss options for treatment.
Although we are not paneled with any insurance carrier, a receipt for services rendered may be provided. This would allow you to submit an out-of-network claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. We strongly recommend you speak to your insurance company before initiating treatment if you plan to use out-of-network benefits, as there is tremendous variability as to the amount they will cover for services.
What To Expect at Your Counseling Session
New clients starting therapy often feel scared and uncomfortable as they do not know what will happen. This quickly changes after their first appointment when they meet and get to know our counselors. To help ease your fears, here is what your first appointment will be like.
Your therapist will start by getting to know you by asking questions about your situation, background, recent life changes, and any expectations you have for therapy. Your therapist will work with you to identify the problem and create a therapy strategy tailored to your individual needs. Your therapist will keep your session confidential.
Counseling is a collaborative effort between you and your therapist. Your therapist will continually review and adapt the treatment plan with input from you as you make progress and enter new phases.
Visit Type | Description | Fee |
---|---|---|
Diagnostic Assessment - Adults | All prospective clients must start with a diagnostic assessment to best understand your individual needs, including possible diagnosis. Depending on time constraints, we may need additional follow-up visits (billed separately at below rates) before initiating medication treatment. | $800 / 50 Minutes |
Diagnostic Assessment - Children/Adolescents (Age < 18) | As above, all prospective clients must start with a diagnostic assessment. For children and adolescents, the first visit is roughly 75 minutes (time with the doctor split equally between the parent(s) and the child/adolescent). Often if your child is new to psychiatric treatment we will need a feedback visit (billed separately at below rates) to discuss diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations. This intake fee includes any necessary collateral contacts, school forms, etc. | $1200 / 75 Minutes |
Medication Management | This is the most common type of follow-up visit in my practice, commonly once monthly. | $400/25 minutes |
Individual Therapy +/- Medication Management | For individuals interested in therapy, I have training in multiple modalities including CBT and ACT. I generally prefer to do time-limited therapy (ie 8-16 treatment sessions, with boosters as needed) to accomplish specific goals, rather than perpetual therapy. Individuals engaged in therapy can also see me for medication management as part of these sessions. | $800/50 minutes |
