About Jamie

Life sometimes sends us down paths that we never expected to be on. Oftentimes, we find ourselves lost, isolated, and hopeless. Whatever it is that started you down this path, know you do not have to walk alone. I use a collaborative approach to help clients move along this unexpected path and overcome challenges along the way. The true joy is seeing clients recognize that, while this path is not one they would have set out on their own, there are truly beautiful steps taken on their journey to healing.

I have extensive experience in mental health treatment, including substance use disorder. I have widespread knowledge and familiarity assisting clients and their families navigate the challenges often faced while obtaining and maintaining sobriety. Also, I assist families to understand  and access treatment options that would best support their loved one along their personal journey to recovery.

In addition to my expertise assisting clients and families that have been affected by substance abuse disorder, I am expanding my practice to address the needs of parents of children with medical complexities and disabilities. As a special needs parent, I quickly realized that support, understanding, and resources for parents and families are extremely limited. Parents of children with medical complexities and disabilities are more likely than others to experience anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. There is hope for parents facing the unique challenges of raising a child with alternative abilities. I am devoted to assisting parents to process their grief, foster communication skills to be their child’s best advocate, develop a plan for self-care, and overcome the guilt and shame that is often experienced.

I am dedicated to creating a safe space free of judgement where clients can focus on their individual healing process and personal growth. I am looking forward and honored to walk alongside you on this journey toward becoming the best version of yourself.
